Keith Barbara and Forbes Field Motorsports Announce Changes for 2009 Season |

South Park, PA (March 2, 2009) Keith Barbara and the Forbes Field Motorsports team have been hard at work this off-season getting prepared for the upcoming 2009 racing year. The main reason for the hard work is the team’s transition over to all new Jim Bernheisel built Lazer Chassis. Keith’s ‘Ultimate Weapon’ will debut on Opening Night at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, PA on Friday, March 27, 2009. Barbara will also have a fresh, modernized decal scheme designed by Jason Fleming at Fleming Design Solutions for the 2009 season.
‘Jim (Bernheisel) and Lazer Chassis decided to come on board with us in 2009,’ Keith quipped. ‘We were looking into making a change after the 2008 season and we talked to Jim and Brandon (Bernheisel) at PRI in Orlando. A few days after we came home from Florida, Jim called us about teaming up for 2009. We always had a solid relationship with those guys from running with the Mid Atlantic Championship Series and with their help; I think this will be a smooth transition.’
Forbes Field Motorsports would also like to announce their intentions on competing with the O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series for the 2009 season. ‘I spoke to (Series President) Guy Webb down in Florida and we like what the series has to offer,’ Keith said about the new tour. ‘The point fund is fantastic and the tow package is even better. We’re looking forward to getting back on the road and with BRC (Bernheisel Race Components) and Lazer Chassis we feel we can be as competitive as ever. The new car is pretty much done, the (decal) wrap is on, we just have some odds and ends to take care of and we’ll be ready for Lernerville’s opening night in a couple weeks.’
