South Park, PA (September 18, 2007) Keith Barbara and Forbes Field Motorsports spent the last few weeks out of their home state of Pennsylvania with trips to Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, WV for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned ‘Hillbilly 100’ on September 1st as well as two separate trips to Cannonball Speedway for an Independent Racing Series event on Labor Day and a regular show this past Saturday, September 15th.

Keith’s trip to Tyler County Speedway started off with a second place finish in his heat transferring him to the night’s 100-lap, $25,000 to win main event. Barbara raced hard until his right rear tire blew out on lap 41. Keith went pit side and did not return to the event and was scored with a 23rd place finish. On Labor Day the Forbes Field Motorsports team found themselves at Cannonball Speedway for a $5,000 to win Independent Racing Series event. Keith started the 50-lap Labor Day special on the outside of the front row but mechanical difficulties 15 laps into the race ended Barbara’s strong showing.

It was a clean sweep this past Saturday at Cannonball as Keith won his heat, started on the pole of the 30-lap feature and led every lap en-route to his third win of 2007. “We felt like we had a strong car at the IRS race there (Cannonball) on Labor Day,” mentioned Keith. “We made a few small adjustments when we went back and it paid off. I think we have a little bit of momentum going into these bigger races here at the end of the season. We kind of feel like the season is just starting considering how much time we missed at the beginning of the year. Hopefully we can keep up this momentum and continue having good finishes for our sponsors. They have been really patient with us this season and we owe this whole season to them, if it wasn’t for them we would have been done after Charlotte in May.”

Forbes Field Motorsports and Keith Barbara will have their Triangle Benefits Services / Potoka Trucking / Forbes Field Garage / RanGroup Racing Tours / Colbert’s Collision / Moses Electric / Rocket Chassis GTO back in action this Saturday, September 22 at Pittsburgh ’s PA Motor Speedway for the Annual ‘Pittsburgher’. The World of Outlaws Late Model Series is back on board to sanction the $10,000 to win, 50-lap one day event.
