South Park, PA (August 14, 2007) Keith Barbara and Forbes Field Motorsports shook the bad luck bug that has been plagued the team all year to pick up his first win of the 2007 season this past Saturday at Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway in Imperial, PA.

This past Friday Keith drove the Drew Koteles owned Dibert Motorsports / Drew’s Auto Center / Hoosier Racing Tire / Rocket Chassis GTO #64K at Lernerville Speedway. After a strong heat race and working his way up to the fourth position in the feature event, Barbara was forced to pull off the speedway with a blown motor about halfway through the event. “The rod blew through the pan,” Keith said via phone while enjoying some vacation time with his wife Juli and kids. “I think Drew may hang it up for the season, he’s in the middle of building a new garage and a few other things. To put a ton of money into a motor this late in the season doesn’t really make sense. I want to thank Drew and the whole Koteles crew and family for being so supportive throughout the season and giving me the opportunity to drive his car,” a thankful Barbara said. “We may have something in the works with Drew to run Lernerville full time next year. Winning a championship at Lernerville is something I always wanted to do and hopefully with Drew that can happen.”

The following night Keith drove his family owned Triangle Benefits Services / Potoka Trucking / Forbes Field Garage / RanGroup Racing Tours / Colbert’s Collision / Moses Electric / Rocket Chassis GTO at Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway for the 40-lap, $3,000 to win ‘Nick and Emma Garin Memorial’. After winning his heat Barbara would battle Al Atallah and Steve Baker in the 40-lap main event on his way to his first victory of the season. “It’s so nice to finally shake that monkey off our backs,” said the relieved racer. “We’ve waited a long time to get a win this year, Doug and Shawn Domhoff of Domhoff Racing Engines really stepped up to the plate after all of troubles we had earlier in the year. I have to thank them for all of their help getting us out of the rut we were in. We also have to thank Mark Bush from AFCO Racing. He has really helped us with different setups this year, setups that we never would have thought to try. He has been a huge help to our race team,” Keith graciously added. “Everyone involved with our race team has been very patient with us this year and we are very thankful for the help that we get from all of our sponsors. I’m glad we could finally get to victory lane for them.”

Keith will be at Lernerville Speedway in his family owned Triangle Benefits Services / Potoka Trucking / Forbes Field Garage / RanGroup Racing Tours / Colbert’s Collision / Moses Electric / Rocket Chassis GTO on Thursday, August 16th for the #1 Cochran Stars of NASCAR Night featuring Tony Stewart and Kenny Schrader. The event will pay $3,000 to the winner.
