Barbara and the Forbes Field Motorsports Team debuted an all new
look to their Forbes Field Garage sponsored MasterSbilt by Huey
at the 25th Annual Pittsburgher 100 that was revitalized by the
NDRL. Keith competed with some of the best racers in the country
during the $10,000 and $25,000 main events at Pittsburgh's PA
Motor Speedway in Imperial, PA. Keith's solid weekend was
highlighted by a heat race win on Saturday and a ninth place
finish in Friday's portion of the event. Barbara started fifth
in the 100 lap main event but a vibration in the car forced
Keith to the pits with a 23rd place finish.

Finish In ULMS Action at Sharon
2013 (South Park, PA) The Forbes Field
Motorsports team made the trek to Sharon Speedway over the
weekend to compete with The National Dirt Racing League’s United
Late Model Series (ULMS) in a 30 Lap, $3,000-To-Win show.
This would mark Keith’s second visit this season to the ½
mile oval in Hartford, OH where he picked up a seventh place
finish back on April 20 (also a ULMS event).
The veteran driver is no stranger to the speedway or the
ULMS. In 2012, he
claimed the $3,000 ULMS prize on October 6.
Entering the event, Keith’s confidence was high, knowing
he has fared well here in the past.
Prior to the race, he stated “Sharon is a track that has
treated me well recently and we’re hoping it continues.
We’ve had some decent finishes here and are confident
that will continue.”

Win of 2013 at Roaring Knob
Markleysburg, PA (April 13, 2013)
South Park, PA’s Keith Barbara took the green from the pole and
led flag-to-flag to become the season’s first Hoosier Tire
Mid-Atlantic Super Late Model winner of the season. “We finally
got a win at Rick Jones’s track,” a happy Barbara said in
victory lane. Barbara, the 2012 United Force (UFO) Super Model
Series champion, drove a
consistent line in his No. 17 Mastersbilt. In the final laps,
however, racing fans were focusing on a hard-charging Jared
Hawkins, who was storming his way to the front. “I kept seeing
him (Hawkins) pick up the cars on the lap counter….so, I knew I
was in trouble. I just stayed patient and held my line,” Barbara
Hawkins started 12th in
the event and used the high line to advance his way through the
field. The Fairmont, WV driver gained his momentum in the top
groove in his No. 37 Rocket. At times, Hawkins appeared to have
the fastest car on the track. The former World of Outlaws
feature winner ran out of time and settled for second.
Former Roaring Knob track champion, Tim Senic of
Elkins, WV, took the green from the outside pole. Senic ran a
solid race to finish third. Somerset, PA’s Scott Rhodes, who is
also a former track champion at the Knob, crossed the stripe in
fourth. Lewistown, PA’s Nick Dickson, the 2012 Hagerstown
Speedway track champion, rounded out the top five.
Super Late heat winners among the 21 entries were Dickson;
Oakland, MD’s Cody Hardesty and Hyndman, PA’s D.J. Troutman.
